Camping Tools

Camping Tools – Choosing the right camping tools such as saws, axes or pocket knives can be a challenge for there are so many available these days. So where do you start?

Camping Axes:

  • Weight – Find one that’s light weight.  It needs to be one that is small enough to take either camping or backpacking.
  • Sharp Edge – Nothing like a dull edge.  You want to be able to cut with precision without the risk of dulling the axe after a few swings.
  • Size – Size does matter.  Select an axe that’s small enough to carry whether backpacking or tent camping but large enough to get the job down in any situation.
  • Handle – Make sure the handle has a firm grip as to not lose it while in a swing.

Camping Saws:

Camping Knives:

  • Functions – Most knives have more than one use.  Some have a few blades or built in saw, nail file, etc.  Get one that will be of good use to you while camping.

Keep in mind the above and you should have no issues while camping at your favorite location.
